Are we letting injuries keep us from playing with our favorite teams in Madden? Discover how to manage your roster effectively and keep your team competitive, even when real-life injuries strike! This tip, submitted by legacy member 'thewatcher15,' details what you can do to make your team whole again.
Injuries are a part of football and cannot be avoided. In a collision sport like football, the biggest, strongest, and fastest athletes in the world can succumb to the stresses those hits put on their bodies. Star players, role players, and even kickers must deal with the real-life chance of getting hurt every time they line up for a snap. In Madden, real-life injuries impact the roster of every NFL team whenever there is a roster update. If an injury is significant, many Madden players may abandon their favorite team in order to compete with another that is closer to full strength. But if you're avoiding your favorite teams online in Madden because of an injured player, you may be missing out.
Gamers might not realize that our injured players are still available for online ranked games and offline play. Injured players are still on the roster, just pushed down on the depth chart. Manually re-order the depth chart to get the best players in the game at every position regardless of their real-life injury status (except KR and PR). Be sure to save the changes before exiting the roster screen. Once saved, any player injured in real life will be available in online and offline play until they are injured in an online or offline game.
If they get hurt in an online game, depending on how severely they are injured, they may not be available again until the next game. In Connected Franchise Mode, they may be out for weeks.
