Many Madden players don't use their favorite team because they lack an MVP caliber quarterback.

Many teams in Madden NFL go unused every year because of the Quarterback.  Some teams have a quarterback so good, not using them is tough; while teams with great defenses and stout run games get passed over because the quarterback is sub-par.  WFColonel56 tells us what to focus to focus on to win with a bad quarterback.

Steal a possession by forcing fumbles in Madden games.

Wanna win?  Virtually all coaches agree that winning the turnover battle is the single most important statistic used to determine the outcome of football games.  Madden games aren't any different.  The team that turns the ball over the least is usually the victor.  On the flip side, forcing turnovers on defense earns extra possessions and scoring opportunities for your team while decreasing the same for your opponents.  Simply put, playing good defense means taking the ball away from your opponent.

Win more Madden games by kicking field goals when drives stall.

Kickers are the highest scoring players in the history of the NFL.  Check it out.  The leagues scoring record holders are virtually all kickers. Madden scoring records, not so much.  Madden players don't use their kickers to get points even when they are well within range in fourth and long.  Daring, but not necessarily smart.  After all, they don't call it football for nothing.

The right playbook in the hands of a skilled player that can effectively run the schemes is a recipe that is hard for opponents to swallow.  One of the most important game plan choices Madden NFL 19 players make is deciding which playbook they will use to dominate their opponents.  Savvy players sometimes opt to build their own.  In our video, we step through building a custom playbook from beginning to end so you can step onto the field with a game ready playbook.  In addition to building a playbook, we show players how to streamline this process so they can build future playbooks without again completing the initial steps.

Madden players constantly look for advantages. Making the right call at the right time is all the advantage we need. Planning ahead for game time makes picking the right play easy come crunch-time. Whether it's 3rd and long or the offense is backed up in the shadow of it's own goal posts; Madden players that plan ahead win more games.  This tip, submitted by legacy member "TruthBTold" relates a tournament experience that changed the way he approaches game planning.

Another Madden NFL 19 rage quit from a player getting shut out with no hope of scoring a point.  After a missed field goal from point blank range, go_sit_down267's Eagle team suffers a break down and never recovers.  Check out the video to see what happens:

After earning our first win with a flimsy, but effective, custom playbook created in Building a Custom Playbook, we added more oomph to our custom playbook and started a new game.  This time we met DMurphy01's Rams team.  While our offensive woes became less pronounced, the Rams gave us a run for our money.  In the final moments, a key mistake was the difference in the game.  Check out the video to see what happens:

Since Madden is never perfect right out of the box, it gets periodic tweaks in the form of title updates throughout the year in a process that is the result of feedback from multiple communities.  Thanks to the players, the development team at EA Tiburon studios knows where to devote resources and what changes to make.  This update marks the first of what is likely to be many for Madden NFL 19.  Read more for the full details:

In our first game of Madden NFL 19, we made it a point to use our custom playbook from our first video of the year Building a Custom Playbook in Madden NFL 19.  Our playbook consisting of only 36 plays forces us to be disciplined in our play calling on offense.  An early mistake puts the Panthers back against the wall.  Check out the video and see how this game turns out.
