Strategies

The deep ball can be contained with great planning whether playing man or zone coverage.

Man:

  • Choose 2 Man under
  • Spread the safeties (Triangle+R3+up)
  • Back off the secondary (optional)

Zone:

  • Choose a cover 4
  • Back off secondary (this time it is mandatory)
  • Control the safety, watch for play-action and swat the ball down
